Playing Tourist

Mary Brooke and I took a nice long walk around town today and took some wonderful pictures! πŸ™‚ ( more here: http://s936.photobucket.com/albums/ad208/TravellingCrafter/Tuebingen/)

We visited the little island that’s on the Neckar River, where Mary Brooke took the above photo. These are the houses that are usually shown when you look up Tuebingen. We also walked up to the castle, where we realized that the museum was open! So we decided to go in and were very glad we did. One of the greatest things (I think) that we saw was this drop spindle! It said it was from 1100-800 BC! How cool is that?!

The pictures in the link include images of the town, as well as some pictures from within the museum. Hope you enjoy!

After so much walking, Mary Brooke and I decided to get doeners, even though it wasn’t a Thursday. We went to Kalender, which we have been told by many is the best in town, and we both disagreed. I mean, it was good, but it wasn’t fantastic. So far, the best one we’ve gone to was at the Oriental Imbiss that we visited on Thursday. Those were good. Yummy, filling, but not heavy like some of the other ones we’ve had. The ones we had today were kind of greasy, which was not so nice. But still yummy! πŸ™‚

Until next time, much crafty love (I promise I’ll have a craft update soon)

Tonka.
